Still working on the shell of my hermit crab woman. I wanted the shell to look old and worn and be combined with a skull. The skull was important to illustrate how hermit crab woman’s shell is both protective in covering her vulnerable lower body and destructive because its weight pullsĀ her towards falling.

Making a crusty shell is taking long than I anticipated. Lots of sanding. Carving. Then adding more Apoxie Sculpt.
